Artist's Comments

It's a work in progress for a contest I had entered. We were all given the same kit of glass beads, and had to create our own adding findings or other elements.

This theme involves elements of forest, spirituality, and the circular dance surrounding a sacred fire.

Aside from the beads I was given, I added brass chain, brass circular findings, and had hand sewn three double sided strips of 100% cotton together into a collar with remaining strips flowing down with embroidery. The piece will be finished by the end of this month and will be entered by May 1st for the contest.
